Tranmere Rovers away to Newport County at Rodney Parade in League 2
The Whites visit the Exiles on a sunny February Saturday in Wales. The SWA turned out in good numbers to enjoy the sunshine 🌞 if not the football. The boys never really got a grip on the game but held on for 0-0 at the break. Not everyone came back out of the bar for the 2nd half. 🍺🍺 Lucky them. The hosts went 2-0 up, the second with a penalty for a foul so far outside the box that Nicola Sturgeon had an opinion on it.
Tranmere got the ball down for a few minutes and leveled the score with Josh Cogley getting his first for Tranmere. Our second was a OG. It didn't last and the Exiles got another 2 but could have got more.
It went off big time in our stand and was our liveliest for a while.
Not the result we wanted or needed. We dust ourselves down and go again (with more rubbish football in a different town).
Was nice to visit Wales 🏴🐑
Ref was the worst for a while too. A proper Nigel Farage. Two Tranmere players literally had their shirts ripped off them and not a foul in sight.
Hot chocolate rating: Not chocolate more like. No hot drinks. Are you Wycombe in disguise?
POTM: It could only be Josh Cogley for his goal. #freecharliejolley
See you at Northampton. Hope the sun shines there too.
