Sweet Home at Dzuh! Ro! Vuz!

Tranmere Rovers host Southend United at Prenton Park

Prawn takeaway as the Srimper visit the Rovers. My first trip to Prenton Park in sunny Birkenhead since the club shop posted me to Brighton 2 years ago.  Also my first Tranmere goal since promotion to league 1.  Tranmere struggled on the swamp of a pitch but managed at late goal from a Paul Mullin penalty to draw 1-1.  It was so wet, Ray (George not Gamma) looked from the Kop like he was wearing speedos. Sensible precaution that in case he needs to swim for it.

POTM: Paul Mullin for earning and scoring the pen for my first goal in League 1.

Wearing my new Gamma man badge and one for Mind, on your side.

Yellow, is it me youre looking for?…

Tranmere Rovers away to Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium

My second trip to Oxford but this time to the other side of the city as the Rovers face the U's at the Alakazam Stadium.

The Whites conceded 3 goals with no reply with 2 coming of them coming from the penalty spot. Dont know what a penalty is as we are not allowed them.  Nice day out with the SWA in the sun with my new Lux et Robor badge and Rover and Out scarf.  🌈

Just wondering.....has a referee ever had to book themselves for time wasting? 🧭⌛

Rover and Out for now.

Rebel Yell

Bognor Regis Town away to Worthing FC at the Woodside Road Stadium

Sunny Worthing living up to it's name today as Uncle Dougie's Rocks took on local rivals the Rebels.  It was end to end for 30 minutes when Worthing took the lead.  They scored 2 more to finish 3-0 winners.

Top marks to tbe Worthing fans who never stopped singing, even having a go at tequila.

Time for a proper tequila.  🍹

I'd rather be a Rover than a Rebel or a Rock.

Shakin All Over

Tranmere Rovers away to Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium in League 1

Back in the west country for The Rovers vs The Gas.

Tranmere had a shocker with the 9 players still on the pitch battling to lose by only 2-0.  Did see a big pirate, it must have been him that kidnapped our players.  Hope Micky can afford the ransom.

POTM:  Ollie Banks for his reaction when he was sent off for a first yellow!

Up Pompey

Tramnere Rovers FC away to Portsmouth FC At Fratton Park in League 1

The first away game for the Rovers since returning to League 1 sees them facing Pompey at Fraggle Rock.

Tranmere played well at times in front of the 18000 crowd  but lost 2-0 in conditions made difficult by strong winds. Saw 6 new players today. Wilson, Payne, Potter, Ray, Blackett-Taylor and Ferrier. In all a nice day out by the sea.

POTM: New boy Kane Wilson looked good on loan from the Baggies

Wearing my new TROSC badge.
Can we go now, it's so windy I might end up in Oz.

See you at Bristol my lovelies.

Lancing In The Dark

Bognor Regis Town FC take on Chichester City FC for the Sussex Community Shield at Sussex FA headquarters in Lancing

The Rocks, holders of the Senior Sussex cup face the Lillywhites, SCFL Premier League Champions, (seen here in Yellow) on a very windy night at Culver Road, the home of the Sussex FA in aid of NSPCC.

Uncle Dougie's ball to Dan Smith led to the only goal as The Rocks took the win 1-0 in difficult conditions.  A fantastic evening at a lovely ground and met up with Uncles Chris and Dougie.

Got to show off my new BRTFC badge

Bridge Over Troubled Water

England take on the Rest of the World at Stamford Bridge in Socceraid 2019

An all star line up at the home of Chelsea for Soccer Aid 2019 but no sign of Robbie.  England played well in the first half some bloke off the internet scoring 2 but Usain Bolt pulled one back before the break. World  XI had the best of the second half and equalised to finish 2-2 after 90 minutes. World XI went on to win on penalties apparently as we had to leave for the train.

POTM  - Mo Farah for tackling Usain Bolt. Legend(s).

The lovely Rita 💘 Ora sang a song at half time.

No more football until August 😢

England Women play New Zealand Women in a friendly at the AMEX Stadium

The Lionesses are off to the World Cup in France and play a last friendly against the Football Ferns at the home off the Seagulls in Brighton.

They played well and deserved to win the game but couldn't find the target and conceded to lose 1-0.Big of a bigger crowd than last time we were here. Nice bit of current bun too.🌞

Got a nice new England scarf and badge.

Good luck in France  . Bonne Chance.

Tranmere Rovers face Newport County at Wembley Stadium in the EFL League 2 playoff final

The Rovers are back at Prenton Park South for the 3rd year in a row,  This time, looking for back to back promotions in the battle for a place in League 1 next season.  This years opponents are The Exiles.

In a game full of controversy, Tranmere came out as eventual winners thanks to a Connor Jennings goal on 119 minutes.

Phew.  That was fun.   League 1 next season.

Praise The Lord

Tranmere Rover away to Forest Green Rovers at the New Lawn in the   League 2 Play-off Semi Final Second leg

Rovers come to Nailsworth to take on The Vegans with a goal advantage after a spectacular Banksy Worldie in the first leg.

The Tofu Scranners score first to equalise the tie but a goal from Lord Norwood levels the match and wins the semi-finals for Tranmere.  Shhuush you lot.   And the crowd go wild.

Wembley here we come again leaving the New Lawn looking a little trampled.  Sorry about that.

With A Little Tuck

Bognor Regis Town  take on Burgess Hill Town in the Sussex Senior Challenge Cup Final at the AMEX stadium

First time at the AMEX to see the Rocks face the Hillians in a battle to be champions of Sussex at the home of the Seagulls.  Hope we don't see any seagulls, I might end up as a tasty snack.

It was an end to end game but was still 0-0 at 90 minutes.  Doug Tuck comes for Bognor on at the start of extra time and scores the only goal and take the cup.
Go Dougie.   Enjoy the Jafa cakes.

Crawley Kingsnake

Tranmere Rovers away to Crawley Town at the Peoples Pension Stadium in League 1

Rovers visited the Reds at the Broadfield Stadium in sunny West Sussex in the last scheduled game of the season.  The White made a number of changes ahead of the playoffs next week including the return of Captain Steeeeeeeeeve.  Tranmere won the home leg 5-1 but were losers today going down 3-1 with the only goal Tranmere goal coming from a James Norwood penalty.  Disappointing result after such a good run of form.  But were in the playoffs.

See you soon in the playoffs

Tequila!

Tranmere Rovers away to Colchester United at the Jobserve Community Stadium in League 2

The Rovers away to the "U"s (imaginative) in darkest Essex.

Tranmere take their 6th win in a row with goals from Lord Norwood and David Perkins as it  finishes 2-0.  The ground echoes to the sound of Tequila but it's all too much for the drum which fails to make it to half time.  Lightweight!

🎵Your drum is intact, your drum is intact...

Really good atmosphere for the whole game despite the part time percussion.

To me to "U"s.

Tranmere Rovers FC are away to Exeter City FC at St James Park in League 2

The Rovers faces the Grecians in the far south west.

Tranmere are the form side having won the last 2 games.

That form continues with a single deflected goal from Lord James Norwood sealing the win.  A bit of luck will do nicely.  Thanks.

Tranmere Rovers FC away to Cambridge United FC at the Abbey Stadium in League 1

The Rovers are away  to the U's for our first visit to Cambridge.   We are so far back from the pitch we may not still be in Cambridgeshire.

The match ends goalless thanks to Scotty (Terminator) Davies who keeps getting flattened and getting up again to keep a clean sheet.  Made of strong stuff.

Crazy Horses

Tranmere Rovers FC away to Cheltenham Town FC  at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium in League 1

The Rovers face the Robins at Whaddon Road as we travel back to the west country to Gloucestershire.   Didn't we play the Robins a few weeks ago?

A quiet first half ended with a Cheltenham goal. Norwood scored just after the break followed by Miller and Banks to finish 3-1.  Miller's  first Tranmere goal.  Awesome result and my first League 2 win.

POTM:  Ishmeal Miller, a big forward, just what we needed and his first goal.

See you soon

A Shot in the Dark

Tranmere Rovers FC away to Oxford City FC at Marsh Lane in an FA Cup 1st Round replay

The Rovers take on the Hoops of the National league South in a replay after the first leg at Prenton Park ended 3-3.

The Whites were victorious on a cold November night  in Oxfordshire with first half goals from James Norwood and Paul Mullin to finish 0-2.  We progress to the second round and so Southport here we come.My first evening match.  Not been out in the dark before. Tranmere Rovers FC away to Yeovil Town at Huish Park in League 2

The Rovers face The Glovers at the new Huist Park , the levels one, on a sunny day in Somerset.  This is my first trip to the west country.  Nice here.  Shame about the football.  Ended goalless.  Might even win one one day but good to keep a clean sheet.

Everybody was Kung Foo Fighting

Tranmere Rovers away to Swindle Town FC at the County Ground in League 2

The Rovers take on the Robins in our first visit to Wiltshire.

Tranmere started well with two early goals from Jonny Smith and his Lordship James Norwood of Birkenhead.  It all went wrong with a karate kick high tackle from the mild mannered Jay (Bruce Lee) Harris which led to a straight red.  Swindon Town took control of the game and went on to win 3-2. Not the result we wanted.  Still not seen a win in league 2.

There were a few high tackles from the Death Ninja stewards and we got a bit squashed in the melee and had to move seats.

Not a nice atmosphere and strange being stuck in the corner when there is an empty stand.

Hope to see you somewhere nicer soon.

Feeling Hot Hot Hot!

Tranmere Rovers away to Stevenage FC at the Lamex Stadium in League 2

We are at very a sunny Steeeevenage in Hertfordshire to see the Rovers visit the Boro' at the 3 sided Broadhall Way.

Bit warm for showing off my new scarf.  Lots of new faces in the team for our first game back in League 2.  I'll say that again, League 2.

Tranmere went 2-0 down in 27 minutes in the 32°C heat.  Goals from James Norwood either side of the break levelled the score to finish 2-2.  A good comeback in the conditions.

Can we go home now I'm melting.

Ticket To Rides

Tranmere Rovers faces Boreham Wood FC in the National League Playoff Final at Wembley Stadium

Wemberleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The Rovers are back at Wembley and are this time up against The Wood in another National League Play-off final.  Prize for the winner is promotion back into the football league.

What a game that was!  Down to ten men when Liam Ridehalgh is sent off for a two footed tackle after just 48 seconds. All 3 subs used in the first half.  Score 1-1 at half time thanks to a goal by Andy Cook on 6 minutes and a Borehamwood equaliser in the 8th minute of first half injury time.  Finished 2-1 to Tranmere with a 80th minute goal by Lord Norwood of Birkenhead.  It just trickled over the line in slow motion.  The Whites are going up, the whites are going up.

Tranmerekat Rovers going back to the football league.  Ta-ra to the bin league, wer'e going back where we belong.  The band of heroes have done it.

POTM : Take bow James Norwood 🥇, grafted for every one of the 103 minutes, provide the cross for the first goal and scored the second. Special mention 🥈for Connor Jennings for coming back from the dead, literally, to provide the cross for the winner.

Hope Rides is OK. Still love him.

Come Rain Or Come Shine

Tranmere Rovers away to Dover Athletic (again) in the National League

It's not actually raining this time.  It's a nice spring Tuesday evening.  Originally travelled down to the Crabble Ground on Good Friday  for the match to be called off due to waterlogged pitch just as everyone was arriving.

The Whites verses urrm. the Whites in a battle del bianco.

Tranmere won the match 1-0 with Andy Cook in his magic hat scoring the only goal.  Fantastic atmosphere for a Tuesday night at the opposite end of the country.  Almost felt like we could sing the ball into the net.   🎵Oh Andy Cook is magic, he wears a magic hat. 🎩

Will It Never End?

Tranmere Rovers away to Maidstone United at the Gallagher Stadium in the National League

My first match. The Rovers away to the Stones in the Kent sunshine in the Vanarama Nation league.

Good VFM, 110 minutes for the price of 90.  Tranmere won 3-2 with goals from Andy Cook, Alex Finney (OG) and Adam Buxton.

A lovely (long) day out in the Garden of England and 3 points going back to the Wirral.

Quick question. How many yards is 10 yards? Answers on a postcard to the ref.  Don't tell him it's less than 15 yards or you will be booked like Ollie Norburn.

See you
